StayMint Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the publicly listed company, Ariadne Australia Limited. Trading as Mint Hotels & Apartments, our Brisbane based company markets and manages hotels and apartments in key destinations across Australia.

Our particular market niche is the provision of marketing, letting and administration services for corporate accommodation in the 4 to 4.5 star self rated category. These services can be provided within a flexible operating framework including:

  • Lease
  • Management Agreements
  • Marketing Services Agreements

Currently managing a portfolio of four properties in Melbourne, Brisbane and on the Gold Coast, Mint Hotels & Apartments is committed to expanding their property portfolio from its traditional Queensland base to include new properties in regional Australia, and cities that provide sustainable demand for corporate accommodation. These new properties may already be in development or may be green field opportunities requiring development expertise.


Experience, Stability and Knowledge

Mint Hotels & Apartments is a small, efficient and experienced operator that provides knowledge and expertise at low cost to produce optimum results. While small in size, there is no shortage of expertise as the company has attracted experienced accommodation management professionals who provide leadership in the areas of Project Development, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Finance and Human Resources.

This allows Mint Hotels & Apartments to approach business relationships on two distinct platforms. For green field opportunities the Development team can engage with Investors and Property Developers on an end to end basis transitioning from building design and construction to opening and beyond. For existing properties the Sales and Marketing team can provide Marketing Services that will increase brand recognition and loyalty programs to ensure sustainable occupancy and rate outcomes.

This expertise is supported by strong Operations, Finance and Human Resources systems and procedures that mitigate risk, increase customer satisfaction and deliver the financial and cultural outcomes that the Board of Directors have identified.


The Board of Directors

Murray Boyte – Chairman

Mr. Murray Boyte was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ariadne Australia Limited in July 2002 and is Chairman of StayMint Pty Ltd. Murray was previously the Managing Director of a publicly listed New Zealand Transport, Engineering and Horticultural Group. Mr. Boyte has over 30 years experience in investment banking, acquisitions and company reconstructions in Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. Murray is a member of professional accounting bodies in both Australia and New Zealand, as well as being a member of the Securities Institute of Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Dr. Gary Weiss - Director

Dr. Weiss holds the degrees of LL.B (Hons) and LL.M (with dist.) from Victoria University of Wellington, as well as a Doctor of Juridical Science (JSD) from Cornell University, New York. Dr Weiss has extensive international business experience and has been involved in numerous cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

Dr Weiss is Chairman of Secure Parking Pty Ltd, Executive Director of Ariadne Australia Ltd, and a director of Premier Investments Limited, Ridley Corporation Ltd, Mercantile Investment Company Limited, Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and The Centre for Independent Studies. He was Chairman of Coats plc from 2003 until April 2012 and executive director of Guinness Peat Group plc from 1990 to April 2011 and has held directorships of numerous companies, including Westfield Group, Tower Australia Ltd, Australian Wealth Management Limited, Tyndall Australia Ltd (Deputy Chairman), Joe White Maltings Ltd (Chairman), CIC Ltd, Whitlam Turnbull & Co Ltd and Industrial Equity Ltd.

Craig Barber – General Manager and licensed Director

Mr Craig Barber is the holder of a full Queensland real estate license and has over 35 years experience in the hospitality industry, throughout Australia and overseas. As General Manager, Craig is responsible for the financial performance of Mint Hotels & Apartments. Craig has considerable experience as a General Manager of both corporate hotels and resort operations, winning numerous industry awards and accolades.

Comfy and modern

The hotel was modern and quite comfortable. The room was spacious for one. Bathroom was very nice, I don't have need for a bathtub so just having a shower was just fine. The bed was large and comfy. View from the balcony was not the nicest (a parking lot), but the balcony was otherwise nice. Minor minuses were... - the location of the fire ala..
