The small town of Khajuraho is in Bundelkhand of Madhya Pradesh. It is known for the marvelous Hindu and Jain temples and the fascinating rock carvings on them, making them a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Khajuraho has an extreme climate with summer temperature rising to 45°C. Winters pleasant and a good time for tourists to visit. The annual Dance Festival in March draws a huge number of visitors every year.
