Have you booked your Whale watching holiday with Mint Coolangatta Points North Apartments?
It's an exciting time for Whale watchers with reports that Migaloo and another white whale companion have been spotted on the southern Great Barrier Reef as part of the mass migration to the cooler waters of the Antarctic. By all accounts today he should be near Hervey Bay and heading south on his 12,000km+ journey which is great news for those out on the water on the Gold Coast. Coolangatta Whale Watch has daily tours and will be keeping an eager eye out for this rare and beautiful creature.
Migaloo was first noticed in 1991 and is believed to be the only White Humpback whale in recorded history, although in 2011 a white calf was spotted in the Whitsunday's and is believed to be Migaloo's offspring. See our team and book your Whale Watching adventure now and send us your snaps - fingers crossed you see this majestic marine mammal.
