Mint & WAO an ongoing mission
For those not aware the Wombat Awareness Organisation is a cause close to the hearts of several Mint staff and this weekend just passed saw Mint Melbourne St Kilda Rd staff drive across to WAO home base about
10kms outside of Callington, in the Adelaide Hills - South Australia and deliver donations of both essential items needed by WAO carers to make the lives of these rescued wombats more comfortable as well as the monetary donations provided by our guests.
Thanks to the generous support our corporate partners, the items transported this visit included a pallet of blankets, towels and sheets, a commercial washing machine and dryer and  3 metal cots for the wombat hospital.
The Wombat Awareness Organisation is the  largest wombat care facility in the world with a free range wombat enclosure that covers 11 acres,  injured and ill wombats receive round the clock care in hopes that some will recover and be able to be released back into the wild but for those that can't WAO provide a sanctuary in their native environment.
